On Co-Guiding Image Captioning Project for a IIITDM student

It is always nice to collaborate with other Institute Intellectuals. Thanks to my friend Dr.Umarani , who is an Assistant Professor in IIITDM, Kancheepuram ( a central gov Institute) https://www.iiitdm.ac.in/People/displayProfileFaculty.php?umarani@iiitdm.ac.in who assigned me as a co-guide for her B.Tech student, Pranjali for her Image Captioning project. Umarani mam has done her PhD from IIT Kanpur . She is an Image processing expert and she wanted some Natural Language Processing advice for this project from me. The way she handles the project paying attention to even tiny things is so inspiring. Sometimes I have felt so tough to visit IIITDM amidst demanding duties at SRM, but it is always worth the effort. Learnt a lot from Umarani mam and from her student. Also she wanted to convert that project as a research paper and I acquired a lot of inputs from her . These things kept me occupied during this lock down productively.

Thanks Umarani mam for believing in me :) Sometimes, I feel it is all because of the belief people have on you, keeps you going. I take that very seriously to keep up their belief. Umarani mam is also a great friend, always insisting me to learn new new things. She is also a great learner and highly receptive despite she being an expert in her field. Speaking to people who have great passion to learn is always a mind calming stuff. It was Nice experience collaborating with you mam
